How Does it Work?

The Neoception Asset Tracker is a cloud-based asset management system that combines RFID technology from Pepperl+Fuchs with a gateway and innovative software services from Neoception. Plant assets are equipped with RFID tags so they can be easily tracked at a defined point in the process. For this identification task, a variety of RFID read/write heads are available to meet your individual needs.

A gateway transmits the tracked information to the Neoception cloud. The Neoception software analyzes the data and indicates the number of times an asset has cycled through the process. You will receive customized alerts once the preconfigured threshold value has been reached so inspection and maintenance can be scheduled on time.

Electroplating

Countless parts are electroplated every day—this process involves dipping the parts into tanks of chemicals. Over time, material builds up on the dipping hardware, so regular inspection is required to monitor their condition. With the Neoception Asset Tracker, the dipping hardware is equipped with tags and tracked every time it cycles through the galvanizing process. As soon as the hardware has completed a defined number of cycles, the operator will be alerted so he can schedule maintenance in advance.

Concrete Molding

When concrete blocks and slabs are molded, liquid concrete is poured into forms made of wood. As soon as the concrete is dry, it is removed from the form, which will then be used for the next concrete block. Over time, the wooden forms have to be replaced to ensure the quality of the concrete blocks. But, how do you know when they have to be replaced? RFID technology tracks how often a wooden form has been used for forming concrete. Without manual counting, the Neoception Asset Tracker will indicate when inspection is needed.
